How large is the capacity of the De Laro meeting/lecture rooms?
We have a different capacity in summer than in winter. During summer, we can allow our guests to enjoy our exquisite statue-garden, and our activities are often organised outside.
Surrounded by a splendid green and wooded area, this is a unique experience. In this period we can offer a workshop with an outstanding quality, for groups of up to 100 people. During winter, we use our 2 heated indoor galleries. This too is a unique experience. In this period, our capacity is up to 50-60 individuals.
How may I present my own work in the art gallery?

We give everyone the opportunity to show his or her work. We are a professional gallery, with our own philosophy directed towards professional artists, who have to earn their living with and through their art. First you will be invited for a personal conversation, during which we would like to get to know yourself and your work. On the basis of this, we speak further about the possibilities of a solo exhibition or a group exhibition in our gallery. Furthermore, we organize exhibitions for new, young talent during which we allow the upcoming artist to meet for a first time with the world of the gallery.

Which further possibilities are there to get to know the surroundings?

From our location, you may start off for a wonderful walk in the area. If requested we can organize for you an enjoyable walk in the woods. At the end of your walk you may return to us, and be treated to a delicious lunch or dinner. We are situated on the Strawberry Route, and you may start off on a cycle tour from our place through the superb Kempen. Afterwards, you may again return to us to enjoy a light snack and refreshments, or you may sample our surprising variety of strawberry-based dishes.
Are there possibilities for staying for the night?

Closeby, in the neighbourhood, we have a large number of cosy bed & breakfast facilities which we have choosen especially for this purpose. These offer true value for money, and we are sure you will enjoy them; Team groups have the possibility to stay overnight in a wonderful hotel situated in the nearby countryside. This hotel provides first rate care and you may unwind enjoying the woods. The hotel is only 10 minutes walking distance from De Laro. Which activities may I organize?

At De Laro, nothing is impossible. From the organizing of a walk, a cycle tour or the welcoming of big groups for workshops. In between, we also offer possiblities for private individuals to enjoy a drink, a reception, family gatherings... We always work to size and are completely at your disposal. If you have another idea in mind, simply ask us, and we'll think further with you.

Can I simply drop in at De Laro and drink a cup of coffee?

During the summer period, at the weekend, everyone is welcome. If you simply want to enjoy a cup of coffee, then that's possible too. We have a lovely terrace where, during the summer, you may sit and enjoy the beauty of what nature has to offer. But even in winter we have the space inside to receive your visit.
